The Baseus Spacemate is the right dock for most engineers running Windows with two or three monitors. At $129 it gives up an SD card reader and runs warm under full load — and you still won’t find a cleaner form factor at this price.
That’s the verdict up front. Here’s the evidence behind it.
The Single-Cable Problem
Engineers who work from home eventually accumulate what I call cable debt: laptop on a stand, second monitor added “temporarily” six months ago, third monitor added “just to see how it feels” three months after that, separate power brick, Ethernet dongle, USB-A hub for keyboard and mouse. Seven cables minimum, plugged in every morning, unplugged every time you move to the couch. At some point the physical weight of that ritual becomes annoying enough that you actually do something about it.
A docking station is cable debt getting paid off in one transaction. One cable in, everything else already connected and waiting. The pitch is simple. The problem is that most docks are either underpowered (USB 3.0-era hubs that can’t push 4K) or overkill (Thunderbolt 4 docks at $280 for people who need 40Gbps and build their own computers on weekends).
The Spacemate sits between those two failure modes.
What the Baseus Spacemate Includes
Eleven connections in a tower that measures roughly 5 inches tall and 1.5 inches on each side: 2x HDMI 2.0 (4K@60Hz), 2x DisplayPort 1.4 (4K@60Hz), 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps, 2x USB-A 2.0 at 480Mbps, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, and 3.5mm audio. Baseus calls it 11-in-1. That count makes sense if you include the 100W USB-C power input as an eleventh connection rather than infrastructure.
Power delivery is 100W in, 85W out. The dock consumes ~15W internally when fully loaded, leaving 85W for the connected laptop. Enough for a ThinkPad X1 Carbon, a Dell XPS 15, most engineering laptops under normal workload. Not enough for a 16-inch MacBook Pro running a heavy compile job simultaneously — expect battery drain rather than charging in that edge case.
The 76cm braided USB-C cable is permanently attached, which keeps the tower clean but means you’re limited to that reach. Exactly long enough to run from a corner position to a clamshell laptop on the opposite side of the desk; not long enough to route along the desk edge without looking deliberate about it.
What Baseus did not include: a power adapter. You need an external USB-C charger at 65W minimum — 100W recommended when all ports are loaded. If you don’t already own a 100W USB-C charger, add $20–30 to the total cost.

Triple Display Setup on Windows
Four display connectors are on the dock (2 HDMI + 2 DP). Three work simultaneously on Windows. I set this up expecting all four to run extended displays and learned that the dock uses DisplayLink over USB 3.2 — which caps at three external monitors in Windows extended mode regardless of how many connectors are populated. This is in the product spec sheet. I didn’t read it carefully enough before ordering.
For the two-external-monitor setup most engineers actually use — laptop display + two externals, or laptop clamshell + two externals — the Spacemate works without friction. HDMI to monitor one, DisplayPort to monitor two, USB-C into laptop. Done. No drivers beyond what Windows installs automatically.
The 4K@60Hz claim is real: both HDMI outputs held 4K@60Hz over a full workday with no frame drops or sync issues. I was testing on a ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 with a pair of 27-inch QHD monitors, and the display output was stable enough that I stopped noticing it — which is the correct baseline for a dock.
macOS users: the Spacemate’s triple display support requires DisplayLink drivers on macOS, and Apple silicon Macs are limited to one extended external display without workarounds. This is an Apple constraint, not a Baseus one, but it means the Windows version of this dock is a genuinely different product from the Mac version for multi-display work.
Docking Station Port Performance
The 10Gbps USB-A and USB-C ports perform as labeled. Samsung T7 SSD sequential reads came in at 956 MB/s, writes at 944 MB/s — right at the ceiling of USB 3.2 Gen 2. The 480Mbps USB-A ports are for keyboards, mice, and phone charging; I made the mistake of plugging a backup drive into one of those instead of the 10Gbps ports during an initial file transfer and the session that followed was educational.
Gigabit Ethernet ran clean on a 1Gbps connection. The audio jack had no audible noise through the monitors tested. The digital activity display on the front face shows which ports are active; it’s marginally useful and mostly decorative. There’s also a screen lock button that sends Windows+L — (this is either the most thoughtful addition to a dock or the clearest sign that someone on the product team really hates forgetting to lock their laptop before stepping away. I’m genuinely unsure which).

Where It Frustrates
No SD card reader. At $129, the UGREEN Revodok Pro 313 and Anker 577 both include SD and/or microSD slots. If you shoot on a mirrorless camera or handle client files on SD cards, the Spacemate adds another step. That’s a real inconvenience, not a minor omission.
The aluminum housing gets warm — not hot, warm — under sustained full load with three displays running and all USB ports active. Enough warmth to notice if you rest your hand on it; not enough to cause concern in a ventilated space. Don’t stack things on top of it or put it inside a closed cable management box.

The PCWorld review of the UGREEN Revodok Pro 13-in-1 called it “superb value.” That’s accurate. The Revodok Pro 313 is the better choice when you need the SD slot and are fine with a flat dock. The Spacemate is the better choice when desk space is constrained sideways (it takes almost no footprint, just height) and you never touch an SD card.
If your budget stretches to $199 and you have a Thunderbolt 4 laptop, that tier is worth considering separately — but at the $129 price point, those two are the realistic alternatives.
