Great
  • + 200W total with 100W + 100W dual laptop charging
  • + 6 ports (4 USB-C + 2 USB-A) covers any device mix
  • - No display showing per-port wattage
  • - ~$90 is steep compared to Chinese-market alternatives

The Short Version

The UGREEN Nexode 200W is a six-port GaN charging station that delivers 200W total across 4 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports. It charges two 100W laptops simultaneously, which is the spec that matters. Two months of powering my entire desk through one brick. It runs warm, not hot. It charges everything I own. There’s no per-port display like the CukTech 15, which is a missed opportunity. But for raw multi-device charging power, it does the job.

Why I Bought It

I reviewed the CukTech 15 and loved it. 140W, great display, retractable cable. But then I started bringing my work MacBook home alongside my personal one, and 140W shared between two laptops meant slow charging for both.

I needed more wattage. Specifically, I needed 100W + 100W for two MacBook Pros without either one throttling. The UGREEN Nexode 200W was the obvious answer. 4C2A, 200W total, two ports capable of 100W each. $90 on Amazon.

The CukTech stays on my office desk. The UGREEN lives at home. Different tools, different jobs.

Daily Use: What Works

UGREEN Nexode 200W port layout showing 4 USB-C and 2 USB-A ports

100W + 100W simultaneous charging is the headliner. My work MacBook Pro 16" and personal MacBook Pro 14" both connected to C1 and C2. Both report 100W charging. Both charge from 20% to 80% in about an hour. No throttling, no negotiation drama. This is the reason this product exists, and it works exactly as advertised.

The 6.6-foot cable changed my desk layout. Instead of fighting for a wall outlet behind my standing desk, the UGREEN sits in a cable management tray under the desktop. Everything connects downward. The wall outlet is behind a bookshelf where I never have to think about it. That long cable is an underrated feature for desk setups.

Port distribution math: with two laptops on C1+C2 at 100W each, C3 and C4 drop to 30W, and USB-A still delivers 22.5W. My phone on C3 at 30W charges faster than most included phone chargers anyway. The real-world impact of power sharing only hits if you try to charge three laptops, which is an IT department problem, not a home desk problem.

I keep C3 for my phone, C4 for my iPad, A1 for earbuds. Five devices, one outlet, zero bricks cluttering the desk.

GaN III efficiency means the charger runs warm under full load but never uncomfortable to touch. I measured the surface at around 45 degrees Celsius with two laptops charging, which is within spec and well below concerning. Under light load (phone + earbuds), it’s barely above room temperature.

Where It Falls Short

No per-port display. After using the CukTech 15 with its real-time wattage screen, going back to a blind charger feels like a step backward. I can’t see which port is pulling what, can’t diagnose a bad cable at a glance, can’t watch PD negotiation happen in real time. UGREEN, if you’re reading this: put a screen on the next version. Charge $20 more. People will pay it.

$90 is fair for what you get, but it’s not a steal. The CukTech 15 does 140W for $55 with a display and wireless charging. Per-watt, the UGREEN costs more. You’re paying for the extra 60W and the brand’s global warranty infrastructure. Whether that’s worth it depends on whether you actually need two 100W ports.

The charger gets warm. Not hot, not dangerous, but noticeably warm to the touch under sustained dual-laptop load. I wouldn’t put it on a wooden surface without a small stand or pad underneath, just out of habit. The TempGuard system that checks temperature every half second seems to work, the charger has never throttled or shut down on me.

No wireless charging means phones and earbuds still need cables. The CukTech integrates MagSafe and Qi charging into the station body. The UGREEN is purely wired. For a desk charger in 2026, wireless should be table stakes.

UGREEN Nexode 200W vs Anker Prime 240W vs CukTech 15 140W

The Anker has more headroom at 240W and can push 140W to a single port, which matters for 16" MacBook Pro users who want maximum charge speed. The CukTech has the display, wireless charging, and retractable cable in a more feature-rich package at a lower price, but caps at 140W shared.

The UGREEN sits in the middle. More power than CukTech, fewer features than Anker, priced between both. If your defining requirement is “two laptops at 100W each,” the UGREEN is the most cost-effective option that does it reliably.

Who Should Buy This

Buy it if:

  • You charge two laptops simultaneously and need 100W to each
  • A 6-port centralized charging station fits your desk setup
  • You want a brand with global warranty and Amazon availability
  • You need PD 3.0 + QC 4.0+ protocol support for mixed devices

Skip it if:

  • You only charge one laptop plus phones, the CukTech 15 is better and cheaper
  • A per-port wattage display matters to you
  • You want integrated wireless charging
  • $90 feels expensive when Chinese alternatives exist at $50-60

The Bottom Line

UGREEN built a 200W charging station that does what the spec sheet says. Two laptops at 100W each, four more ports for everything else, a long cable to keep it off your wall. No display, no wireless, no extras. Just reliable power distribution from a brand with global warranty support.

Is it exciting? No. Does it work? Completely. “I never think about it” is the highest compliment for a charger.
