Yeelight Pro 2 Monitor Light Bar: What We Know So Far

The Yeelight Monitor Light Bar Pro launched in 2022. It’s now 2026 and Yeelight hasn’t refreshed it. That makes it one of the longest-unchanged products in the desk lighting space – and it’s still our current top pick. But a successor has to be coming.
What the Current Pro Does Well
The existing Pro set the standard for smart light bars under $130. CRI 95, 2700-6500K range, 10W power with included adapter, wireless dial controller, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth connectivity, and RGB backlighting with Razer Chroma sync. It was the first monitor light bar with real smart home integration through the Yeelight app.
At its current $89-104 street price, nothing else combines that feature set at that cost. The BenQ ScreenBar Halo charges $179 for a comparable package.
What a Pro 2 Needs
Based on where the market has moved in four years, here’s what Yeelight should address:
| Feature | Pro (Current) | Pro 2 (Expected) |
|---|---|---|
| CRI | Ra95 | Ra97+ |
| Connectivity | Wi-Fi + BT 4.2 | Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.0 + Matter |
| Controller | Wireless dial | Improved latency dial |
| Auto-Dimming | No | Ambient light sensor |
| Mount | Magnetic, 1-32mm | Extended range for thick monitors |
| USB-C | No (AC adapter) | USB-C PD input option |
The biggest gap is Matter support. Yeelight announced a Matter bridge for 2026 and is already shipping Matter-compatible smart lights. A Pro 2 without native Matter would be a missed opportunity. The current Pro’s BT 4.2 controller has a noticeable 0.5-1 second lag that reviewers consistently flag – that needs fixing.
What Yeelight Has Been Doing
Yeelight’s recent focus has been on smart home ecosystem products: a Matter-compatible smart hub, Beam RGBIC light bars, Samsung TV sync kits, and ceiling lights. The monitor light bar line hasn’t received any visible R&D attention, which either means they’re satisfied with sales or working on something bigger behind the scenes.
Our Take
The Pro is still the best value in its class, but the tech is four years old. Baseus, Xiaomi, and BenQ have all updated their light bar lines in the past 12 months. Yeelight can’t coast forever. When a Pro 2 drops, we’ll have a review unit ready.
